We may not understand why Cory Aquino left this earth so soom, or why she left before we were ready to say goodbye. Our feelings when we lose someone we love, seems that time stands still and what moves us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more embrace..But little by little we begin to remember..not just she died but also LIVED. And that her life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. Cory exemplifies a true leader - in her stand to fairness and LOVE of Filipinos. Her unshakable faith as Catholic remains the cornerstone of her family and how she lead her beloved Philippines for milestone engraved in peoples minds/hearts. She is a true HERO and stands for Simplicity, Good Christian Values, Classic with true Integrity.

From: Fr. Amador Castillo, OMI Parish Priest of Broce Parish, Archdiocese of Cotabato
The wake and funeral of Cory has provided the opportunity for so many people to thank Cory for giving her life for God and Country ..... I also wish to express deep deep thanks....
At the time of Ninoy's assasination, then the subsequent street protests, the snap election then people power 1, I was in the Diocese of Kidapawan, [North Cotabato. There I experienced the beginnings of Civil War ..... I condoled with families of those who were killed by soldiers and paramilitary units .... and families of police, soldiers and civilians killed by the NPAs. I mourned the death of Sofronio Roxas, Church lay leader killed in my parish in Matalam, more leaders in Bulacanon, Zacharias Cataylo and a certain Boy, the brutal killing of Fr. Tulio Favali, and the family of RAbuya of New Cebu at the RAbuya massacre.... ..
It was a desperate situation ..... very explosive... .. very ripe for the blood shed of civil war ..... community was intensely polarized .... Definitely, I could foresee, that if Marcos continue to rule, civil war will break out, especially in the Kidapawan area, .... Davao at that time was very hot, with Sparrow units making daily hits. The threat of civil war was very real.... People from both sides were ready and bracing for a fratricidal war. My question at that time was: is there any way out?
Thanks to Cory... thanks to People Power ..... Marcos dictatorship was dismantelled. ... Salamat Cory .... for saving us from a bloody civil war.......

To our beloved Pres. Cory, Our whole family here in Canada is still grieving on you passing but knowing you are now happy with Ninoy in your second life [in heaven] makes us overjoyed with happiness. We can never forget you for what you have done to our people, to the country and to our God. You are a true servant of God, you have fought a good fight and finished the race. The legacy you left behind will forever be cherished, will live in our hearts through your good example for our children and children's children and generation to come. We know that from heaven, you look down on every Filipino with smile because by bringing back our freedom, you forever changed the hearts and minds of all because this democracy is a God-given gift to our land and that God used you for this very essential mission. It is really true that "you hit a home run with all the bases loaded". Now that you're gone and resting in peace in heaven with your loving Ninoy, our grievances are gone for we know that all your sacrifices were the fruit of your selfless and pure love to all Filipinos. Like Ninoy, you did not die in vain but more so with honour and glory. You will always be in our hearts. Like your family, "our grief is immense and your passing away is irreplaceable but everyone has to live". Life will go on. We love your children, we love you Tita Cory, maraming, maraming, maraming salamat, and paalam..... Rod & Tess Tabares, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Former President Cory had been granted her wish to have a peaceful & happy death because she is soooo deserving! She possessed the virtues [Faith, Hope, Charity, Fortitude, Justice, Prudence, Temperance, Humility, Kindness, etc], which made her a very good daughter of God. All leaders are good but Madam Cory is not only good but a great leader as well! We hear a lot of good words about her from people who knew her very well. Though I don’t know her personally, I believe that all that they said are true because she had shown it through her actions. The virtue that I admire the most in her was her humility. I watched a video clip of her saying sorry to Former President Erap. Wow! One of the most influential people in our country said sorry in national television! That is not easy to do but Madam Cory did it with such humility. I know that she was sincere [which we don't see from others] because her actions before [as it’s been told], during & after her presidency prove it. So Madam Cory, thank you for being a very good example to all of us!
To Madam Cory’s family, my family join the whole nation to pray for your mom’s eternal repose & for your healing. Be comforted that the Lord will surpass the caring that you’ve done to & for her. She is in Good Hands!
