Our Dearest Madam President Cory,
There is much to remember and much to be thankful for as we remember Madam President Cory Aquino - the “Icon of Democracy”, she carried herself with great humility despite his international prestige and heroic accomplishments, and the way she shared her life with those people in need. She is a true modern hero in the record of Philippine history. It is a day of sadness and a great loss for the FILCOA’ns of Doha, Qatar. She will be greatly missed and remembered.
Tita Cory, you’re in our thoughts, please know how much you are loved and how deeply your loss is felt by all Filipinos not only here in Doha, Qatar but all over the world.
In behalf of the Filipino Community Organizations Alliance [FILCOA], we offer our prayers and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of Tita Cory, may her soul rest in peace.
Thank you Madam Cory. You will always live on in our hearts.

Thank you Madam President for sharing your life with us. Thank you for the democracy that we experience right now in the Philippines.

I already met Tita Cory. It happened almost 8 years ago, October 2001, when she went to De La Salle Lipa [DLSL] to join the DLSL community in praying the "Rosary for Peace." Tita Cory spoke for few minutes before praying the rosary. She said that "PRAYING THE ROSARY IS HER WEAPON DURING THE MARTIAL LAW PERIOD." I'm still a first-year high school student when I attended this memorable event. I admire Tita Cory and her husband, Sen. Ninoy Aquino. They dedicated much of their lives to restoring the democracy in the Philippines. Thank you very much, Tita Cory. May your soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. My condolences to the Aquino family.
