To the Aquino Family, thank you for sharing your life and being transparent with all your life story. I hope and pray and I know in my heart that the Filipino people will always be grateful and will learn to be grateful now and always. Some might forget this part of history, but I know we will always remember the lessons we learn from the passing of President Cory Aquino. The examples the whole Aquino family have shown us, the values they have awaken in each and everyone of us compassion, resilience, love for the family and most of all strength and faith in GOD despite the painful experience. I cried with the whole family every time I see them on TFC, my daughter was worried about that, and the only explanation I can tell her is: President Cory Aquino,is the reason why Filipinos are more connected and free to speak their hearts out now, that's the basic essence of Democracy.
Other than, the reason that Kris always makes me feel her pain :[ Every time I see her cry on TFC, I cry with her. I don't blame her for that... just so you all know. I respect her right to grieve.
Again, THANK YOU! God Bless the Filipinos!

Thank you, cory, somehow, sometime, you have done so much for our democracy, one way or another you prove for a moment that this nation of ours can be free and great again!
Yes, I congratulate Tita Cory not because of the fact that she just died. That would be very mean and imbecilic of me.
We congratulate people when they accomplish something in their lives, right? Well, as we all knoe, she is a super woman. She accomplished a lot in her life; being a good mom to her children, being a mass leader against those who were corrupted, fought against a dictator, led our country to restore its vivacity pre-martial law, and coped with colon malignancy. These were all that I can think of nao but I knoe there are more than what I’ve mentioned.
Like for example being someone’s bestest friend? I just don’t knoe.
She lived her life. Beat that!
She had so much burden yet she’s such a great person. She deserves to graduate from this life where everything is unfair and go to somewhere where she doesn’t have to think of any more burden, right?
Again, congratulations!
I knoe this entry might be a little esoteric. But I think Tita Cory is very happy nao. Seriously.

To the Aquino Family our deepest sympathy. Let me thank you once again for sharing your mother to the whole country. From your Mom's crusade after your dear father was assasinated I and my family continue to follow and support your fight for democracy.I was then a graduating student from CEU when Tita Cory fight with the dictator.Until now that I have my own family and raise them up here in Singapore I can not forget your mother's sacrifices to the Filipino people.
When I heard about the news my heart breaks and sadness came.I watch all the coverage of the funeral the whole week with my family. And then last sunday we went to hear mass I was so happy to see and read the article about Tita Cory in a Catholic Newspaper of Our Church [Our Lady of Perpetual Soccor] ,in bold letters they say Farewell, good Christians, together with some priest who passed away that week the picture of our dear Tita Cory was in the front page and a half page article inside about her life, sacrifices and how she had fulfilled his mission and commitment to faith. And as Im watching the news this week I saw a portion of Kris Aquino's speech in channel New Asia as Quote of the Week. that the "FILIPINOS is WORTH IT".
Looking back to Tita Cory's contribution.... I am happy and proud to be a FILIPNO that Tita Cory always loved. Thanks again Tita Cory we will missed you.

I am an American Ordained Pastor helping the United Church of Christ in the Philippines.
I have been touched by the love that former President Cory Aquino had for all of the Philippine citizens and the Philippine citizens for their former President Cory Aquino.
I did not know her personally but I actually cried during her funeral service and processional.
I am married to a Filipino citizen and we plan to live in the Philippines. we are expecting our first child in February 2010. Our child will enjoy the freedoms that President Cory Aquino sacrificed for.
Once I receive my permanent visa then I too will enjoy the same freedoms that all Filipinos enjoy. These freedoms did not without a price.
Former President Cory Aquino said that it was good to live for the Filipinos while her husband has said it was good to die for Filipinos. Both of these statements are true. The price of freedom cannot come without any cost. It makes me proud to live in this country where true democracy is cherished and fought for. May we never take these freedoms for granted. Thank you so much former President Cory Aquino for all you have given to the Filipinos. And thank you for allowing me to enjoy the same freedoms. This freedom is not only extended to the Filipinos but to all nationals who have made the Philippines home to them. I am humbled because of the sacrifices that the Aquino family have made for the cause of democracy. I thank my God for the Aquino family and others who have given their lives for the cause of democracy.
Sincerely,
Pastor James and Edena Kelly
